In Sri Lanka, the sand washing machine is a kind of sand washing equipment used for sand and stone, which can make the sand cleaner and higher quality. Widely used in quarries, mines, building materials, transportation, chemicals, water conservancy, and hydropower, concrete mixing plants, and other industries. The spiral sand washer uses the buoyancy of water to classify. It works on the principle that the specific gravity of solid particles is different and the settling speed in the liquid is different.
The screw sand washer adopts a rotor with a central structure. The spiral blade is installed on the central shaft, and the reducer is connected to the central shaft for work. It needs to be placed on a flat slope. The lower part of the tank is surrounded by a three-sided weir to form a sedimentation tank. Screw heads are immersed in the sedimentation tank. The motor drives the screw through the reducer to continuously rotate, and then sends the clean water into the perforated plate at the bottom of the sedimentation tank.
The motor drives the impeller to rotate slowly after deceleration through the V-belt, reducer, and gear. Sand and gravel enter through the feed chute, roll and grind under the impeller to remove impurities covering the surface of the gravel and destroy the water vapor covering the sand. At the same time, add water to form a strong water flow, promptly remove impurities and foreign objects with small specific gravity, and discharge them from the overflow tank. Use a blade to take away the clean sand and gravel, and finally pour the gravel from the rotating impeller into the discharge chute to complete the gravel cleaning effect.
Since the transmission part of the bucket sand washer is isolated from water and sand, its failure rate is relatively low.
It is also called a rolling stone sand washer. The reducer is continuously raised and lowered by the motor drive. The cleaned aggregates are sieved and dewatered at the discharge end, and then discharged. Wastewater containing sludge flows out through the discharge port or the porous baffle at the feed end.
The working process can be summarized as raw material storage, transportation, cleaning, finished product transportation, sewage sedimentation, and reuse. The drum type washing machine needs a lot of water, but the output is very large.

It is suitable for washing fine and coarse materials, but it is relatively rare. Professional equipment has a high output and low water consumption, but the price is relatively high.
