In Sri Lanka, according to the principles of fracture mechanics, the vibrating screen frame shakes and causes bending fatigue during the working process, which is prone to local deformation or cracking of the screen frame and side plates. The main reasons for the vibration failure of the vibrating screen during use are as follows.
After long-term use of the spring, the spring is permanently deformed due to rubber aging or long-term force, causing the spring to fail, resulting in different levels of fulcrums of the 4 sets of vibration damping spring seats on the vibrating screen body, resulting in inconsistent amplitudes of various parts of the vibrating screen, resulting in the vibrating screen link Vibration at the location or cracks in the weld of the connecting piece.
Solution: The damping spring should be checked regularly, and the spring material is generally 60Si2MnA, and the heat treatment hardness should reach HRC45-50.
Improper eccentric weight will also cause the vibration screen amplitude to be unbalanced; if the weight is increased too much, the amplitude will exceed the allowable value, which will cause the vibration screen link part to vibrate or the connection part to weld crack.
Solution: According to the factory parameters of the vibrating screen, set the eccentric weight in strict accordance with the standard and check it regularly.
When installing the vibration exciter, after connecting the vibration exciter with a universal coupling, the corresponding eccentric wheel weight vertical line does not coincide with the natural weight vertical line due to the torsion of the drive shaft, which causes the eccentric wheel to rotate out of sync. The amplitude of each part of the vibrating screen is inconsistent, and the connection part of the vibrating screen is cracked or the weld of the connection part is cracked.
Solution: Install the exciter and check the coincidence of the eccentric weight vertical line and the natural weight vertical line. Regular shutdown inspection
Fracture of the screen frame may also be the reason for the thin screen.
Solution: The best way to solve this problem is to appropriately thicken the side plates, or add additional plates to the side plates near the exciter to enhance the rigidity of the entire screen body so that the screen frame is not easy to tremble and break. When repairing welding, the welding seam should be along the longitudinal direction of the screen frame, and no transverse welding seam is allowed, otherwise, the pipe beam is more likely to break from the transverse welding seam.
Familiar with the working principle, performance, and common failure phenomena of the vibrating screen, correct operation, and daily maintenance can effectively reduce the failure rate of the vibrating screen, and at the same time reduce the maintenance cost and the labor intensity of the maintenance personnel, thereby improving work efficiency.
